Some of our Donations:

$1969.50 Donated to the Tathra Bushfire Recovery Appeal.

We give an annual donation each year to Robertson, Burrawang, Avoca, Glenquarry, East Kangaloon & Moss Vale Public Schools towards their Presentation Night.

$200.00 Annual Donation to Moss Vale High School Presentation Night  

Junior Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) $500.00.

$200.00 each to 3 Girl Guides from the Moss Vale Girl Guides to assist them to  attend the International Girl Guides Jamboree in Sydney in October 2018.

$200.00 to assist a young Moss Vale man represent the Austarlian Touch Football Association in New Zealand.

2018 Bowral Classic Event: Our Club will be manning the Rest Stop at Lackey Park from 6.30am to 11.30am we will also be holding a Gold Coin Donation Sausage Sizzle on the day, so if you are around pop down for a Sausage.

 Outward Bound Navigator: inconjunction with the Bowral Lions Club we are sending 2 15-17 yo youth from the Moss Vale High School to participate in this project.

Burrumbuttock Hay Run $500.00 donation & one of our Members assisted a local Moss Vale lady with a BBQ at Gubbins Home Timber & Hardware to raise money for the Burrumbuttock Hay Run, all food was donated by our club except for the bread rolls which were donated by Southern Rise Bakery Moss Vale & Robertson. Funds raised on the day with the BBQ, Donation Buckets & Muffin Sales on the day was $1167.30 was directly donated to the cause.

Duke of Edinburgh Award: The Club helped a Moss Vale Student complete his Community Service Hours towards his DofE Award, he came & assisted the club with our BBQ's at Gubbins Home Timber & Hardware, heenjoyed it so much now the he has completed his hours he is still coming along to help with the BBQ's as a Friend of Moss Vale Lions. 

BBQ's

Every 2nd Saturday from 18th August 2018 - 9.00am to 2.00pm BBQ at Gubbins Home Timber & Hardware 54 Berrima Road Moss Vale. 

Menu: Bacon & Egg Rolls -  Bacon, Egg, Onion, & Sausage on a Roll - Sausage & Onion on a Roll or any combination you wish, Cold Drinks on Sale as Well.

We will be cooking up a storm the best sausage sanga's in the district come & support Mossy Lions with their fund raising efforts.


Lions Recycle for Sight Australia We are involved in the Lions SaveSight project  Lion Marion Peisley collects used glasses from a number of places in Moss Vale. These are then boxed up & sent off to Queensland where they are cleaned checked and sorted and then sent to aid people in third world countries.

Recycle 4 Sight Australia has collected thousands of pairs of used spectacles, sunglasses, new frames and other equipment. The program distributes regraded spectacles to many parts of the world to Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs and other humanitarian organisations for distribution to poor people in need at no expense or obligation on the recipient.

Over the 15 years that the Australian program has existed, the program has delivered 2.5 million pair to countries in Africa, Europe, Middle East, Indian Sub continent, East Asia, and the Far East, including China, the countries of the Pacific Rim and Southern Asia and Oceania.


Lions Mints:  the sale of Lion Mints over the years have been a great financial boost to clubs for Community work. Australia’s Paralympic athletes, the Australian Lions Childrens’ Mobility Foundation (the Hart Walker) and the Lions Cord Blood and Childhood Cancer Research Foundations have been some of the worthy recipients of significant funds raised by the program.

LIONS CHRISTMAS CAKES & PUDDINGS: are a major fund raising project of Lions Clubs in Australia. Funds raised are donated to projects that benefit the community locally, nationally or internationally.

LOOKING FOR A SIMPLE WAY TO SUPPORT OUR FARMERS THIS CHRISTMAS ? 

Our delicious Lions Christmas Cakes have been an important fundraising project for Lions Clubs in Australia for decades.

From just $15, you can ensure some of your own family’s Christmas joy is shared with another family experiencing an incredibly tough and challenging time.

We will be continuing with all other Lions Australia projects to provide assistance for drought-stricken farmers but we’re also inviting you to help send a little Christmas cheer.

Simply choose how many Christmas cakes you would like to donate and we’ll get our 1.5kg Centennial Cakes into the hands of our Australian farming families for Christmas.

Cakes will be distributed in mid-December by Lions Clubs across Australia.
